About me

My name is Noah. I am a humanistic spiritual counselor (master's degree in humanistics) and a tattoo artist (7 years of experience).

During my humanistic studies I started making tattoos. My study always had

my priority and required a lot of attention. Still, I was able to slowly practice my tattooing and let it

grow into something that I could continue after my studies. I've always seen possibilities

to bring spiritual care and tattoos together in one place. Now that has actually come about.

As a spiritual counselor, I guide people in dealing with various (profound) experiences and existential issues. I support people in unraveling the meanings of experiences and how those experiences fit into their life story.

As a tattoo artist I offer the opportunity to symbolically record certain wishes, experiences or meanings. The tattoos I make can be used for:

  • to mark a transition

  • as processing of a crisis experience such as grief

  • as a search for and expression of one's own identity/culture

  • as rebelling with existing standards

  • capturing a moment/meaning

  • understanding life better

  • purifying the body and mind (as a possible spiritual experience)

  • experiencing the present moment intensely

  • emotional release

I call this the ritual dimension of tattoos. Getting a tattoo is a ritual where your inner experience comes together with an outer experience. The tattoo is more than just a simple choice. It is an experience that carries meaning.

Without the emphasis on it, I often work on spiritual care during tattoo sessions (in the form of a good conversation). For those who need it, more attention can also be paid to more complex issues. Getting a tattoo also offers the opportunity for a ritual. Of course, the ritual dimension can also remain unspoken in the background. Together we look at what your needs are. Spiritual care and tattoos are also offered completely separate.

Why should I choose Noah?

I have a positive and playful outlook on life. In contact with others I am attentive, patient and direct. For me, compassion always serves as a guideline. In my view, compassion involves promoting joy for all beings and reducing suffering. Compassion concerns the care for myself, others and my environment. Everyone deserves that care and compassion. As strange as that may sound. After all, we are all vulnerable and unique beings. We were all once born as little babies with the need for care, safety and warmth. That need will always exist. At the same time, as "adults" we sometimes seem to forget our desire for those needs when we focus on work and the future. Yet we must regularly examine whether the basic needs are satisfied. What about compassion for yourself and others? Do you feel safe and confident? Do you feel the space and warmth from the people around you? Research into your inner and outer world is necessary to create awareness of your life. From there, sustainable development and growth become possible. That is why I will confront you in a gentle and playful way with (harmful and stuck) patterns that stand in the way of your own development. Together we will look at what your options are for a healthy, good and meaningful life (for you). We investigate what really matters to you. In this process I will be there for you with dedication and sensitivity.
